I'm still here and will still carry on refuting Lo'sr crap, and laughing at Lo's attempt to make a whole new range of people dislike her.

Hen has other priorities in life which need her attention.

As with other members who have taken the decision to deactivate their accounts, @-W, BSG in particular, can we have no big chest beating demonstrations over this personal choice?

It's a great shame that Hen no longer feels that she can come here to escape from the pressures of work for a couple of hours. Something drastic needs to be done before a certain member gets her wish and drags this board down completely. It's already splitting the board in two.

Just so people are aware, I have added both Lo and Andrew D to the foes feature of my membership, and will not be responding to or reading them.

To be quite honest with you, it was either that or join Hen in disabling my account.

Lo has frankly poisoned the board for me.

I'm sick to the back teeth of her following me about, her slurs and insults, and as Andrew D has jumped on her band wagon he can fuck off too.

Some here have made reasonable defences of Lo's abuse of the board, and they are entitled to do that. This is easy to do when you do not have the fucked up little shitbag accusing you of all manner of things, and repeating her slurs and lies about you constantly here.

Andrews recent slur about me abandoning a marriage in which I have the most love, affection and fun I have ever had, and will never abandon, just confirms to me that all the perceptions I have held for over a year on how he has gone fucking loopy, (clinical diagnosis.)

So now I will attempt enjoy this board, and skip over all of Lo's Me! Me! Me! posts with glee.

The rest of you, some more than others, are welcome to her.

And not that I am saying that she didn't have cause (I have not read the Inquisition thread nor much else) but why did Hen feel the need to "suspend" her account (and you to advertise it)? Not logging in, not reading and not posting would accomplish the same thing. By doing it the way it was done seems to me to play into the wants/needs/hands of your "enemy". just how I see it

Oldr, if an account is suspended, people can easily tell just by looking at somebody's profile or trying to PM them.

Not announcing it just invites further speculation. Sooner or later somebody notices, and then we get a thread with a whole bunch of speculating (and finger pointing) that could have been avoided if the decision and reasons were simply announced publicly in the first place.

It removes some of the temptation to read here so often. Hen's job is at its worse in this political period.

It also removes some of the temptation to respond, say when vile accusations of the like of say supporting domestic violence, or of being told to prepare for when your husband leaves you, you know, that sort of shit.

I'm getting hassled by my boss. I have 8 weeks unused leave to take, and as Hatch isn't with us this Xmas, we're not planning any big breaks.,

Come summer I'll have about 3 months leave built up. May take a chunk of it as cash.

Most companies I have worked for do not let you accumulate 8 weeks worth of time off. I was up to 6 weeks vacation a few years before I got layed off back in 2008. They instituted a policy of not being able to carry over more than 2 weeks, which they phased in over a period of two or three years so that not all of us with a lot of time would be taking off the months leading up to the new year. Then I think they lowered it to only carrying over one week.

Gob. thank you for acknowledging that some (among whom I assume I'm included) have made "reasonable defences of Lo's abuse of the board" and for not making the nasty logical jump that Jim has made. I don't think it's fair to accuse people (well, yeah, me...but also Guin, Sue, BigRR, Gen'l Meade, and occasionally others) of "sanctimonious shine" and "rationalizing excuses" just for being in a different place mentally and emotionally than those closest to the conflicts here, and for wanting to be helpful.

Jim, I'm sure Lo could say that it's easier for some here to make reasonable defenses of Gob and Hen because they are not being called a “fucked up little shitbag,” “silly baiting troll,” “the lying piece of shite I loath,” “fucked up mess,” “a sick little cookie,” “totally fucked up as a person,” and a “stupid piece of shit.” Right? But totally beside the point. The fact is, none of those epithets have helped matters here at Plan B--any more than have Lo's accusations of "unprofessional conduct" and "approving of domestic abuse."

No, I'm not engaging in a "false equivalence" (that's what you were just about to say, right, Jim?); I am in fact refusing to do so--refusing to play that game.
