Thank you for being the best thing that has ever happened to me.
Here's to many more days spent in celebration.
I love you!!

I have Gob in the midst of kitchen destruction whilst he prepares a five course meal for me. I have Hatch ... Well, in bed actually cause she is a teenager. But she did manage to find her way out from all her blankets to give me a lovely cuddle. I have my work crew apparently secretly organizing a birthday afternoon tea for me. (Unfortunately as I am in the middle of working with the Minister for the three weeks in the run up to the election, they had to request I was given dispensation to come back to the office for their surprise. Which now means, for them, that it isn't.)

Well first it was "Aaarrghhh, n-o-o-o-o!! Why the fuck did I promise that? Five fucking courses?!?!? Fuck!! helllppp!!"
But then I calmed down and decided to go with my strengths, hence the menu is now;
Courses
1. Beer.
2. Cheese on toast.
3. Large scotch.
4.Pasty and chips
5. Cheap sherry.

All the mise en place is done, anything which could be made in advance has been, cuppa and a chill for me!!
Then to take a shovel to the kitchen.
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
I understand a woman loves it when their man actually does something special like that. Once a decade, it could happen
