Um Uh Mom, Dad, Um Uh Can I borrow the um uh car?
I promise to be careful
And no more than one girlfriend in the car.
And I'll be home by 10pm

Glad I am past all that.
Good luck to Hatch, tell her that driving is a learned, experienced skill, not something you can study for.
Take her driving often. Let her drive whereever you guys go. Give her experience, it is the best teacher.

Congrats to Hatch. Be safe out there on the open road! (Don't drive on the closed ones, either.)

Haha, my son just got his license a few months ago and we have him doing exactly that!

Congrats to the hatch, and to you two for helping her to get there :ok

I think it's one of those milestones that makes you realise how grown up they are now. :)

I thought I was finished with it all - all mine now have their licences and I've stopped over-worrying about them ... but now I've been helping the girlfirned-who-lives-with-us to build up her driving practice so she can go for her licence. (She's also going through a driving school - I'm just helping with the extra practice.) I really can't wait until it's all over with!!!

Tomorrow the Hatch has requested her first solo trip in "Old Greg", our dark green Liberty Subaru.

She will be going to her boyfriend's house. Though she will be back in plenty of time for us to go for a family Gym session.

I will truly be tested tomorrow.

I always promised myself that I would willingly release and not worry. Tomorrow will be my first experience of whether that is ACTUALLY possible.

Me too, I feel exactly the same way about our car.
