Hey, that ain't right!

Post by TPFKA@W »

In the BSG complaints thread while I was busy fighting with Joe, Guin interjected the following:
Guinevere wrote:The banal words can of hide the depth of passion these two share. What a romance!
I find the typo very amusing so I quoted it. WORD FOR WORD by means of copy/paste.

Now the original post has been altered to reflect:
Postby Guinevere » Sun Nov 25, 2012 10:56 pm
The banal words cannot hide the depth of passion these two share. What a romance!
The cure for anything is salt water - sweat, tears, or the sea. ~Isak Dinesen
There is no edit note so it appears I changed what she originally wrote, which I did not.

This ain't Hoyle. It might not matter so much in lighthearted banter but it could be completely incendiary in a more heated debate.

Any idea what gives?

It looks like Guin edited her post while you were cut'n'pasting, so the edit banner wouldn't show in that case.

I edited my typo before you posted, right after I posted and saw it, which is why there is no indication of the edit. You must have been in the process of responding, which is why you captured the typo.

Frankly, I'd be happy with zero editing ability -- who cares about a typo here and there, some of them are amusing -- and I'd rather read through typos than have people changing the content of their posts.

I see a "time to edit" discussion coming in the near future.
Better get a poll going.
Better get the reaping dummy ready to burn.
Get your votes ready.
Time to play. :nana

Couldn't you just have said I have magical powers???

Probably because then I would have been jealous and there might have been hair pulling and purse slinging.

You know how women are.

Don't all women have magical powers?
I thought that was a given?

Yes, anything that can bleed for a week and still be alive should not be messed with. Definitely magical in nature.

That's true in the larger context - I only meant with respect to editing posts

Truth of the matter is, Guin has been given total admin powers, and is now going back through the posts everyone has made, and adding little errors so as to make us all look (even more) stupid.

She's even altered "BSG's complaints" thread to make it look like Joe and TPFKA@W are having a grand romance.

It has been a while since I've been to the local pub and been lucky enough to bring home a can of hide.

It didn't always end up so good.

It was often difficult to get a woman to understand the meaning of 'Hey, hit the highway!'

Grand romance? I was beginning to believe that they are a married couple...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

If we were a married couple, we probably wouldn't get along as well as we do now.

I could never marry a leg humping stalker. Who apparently makes his living as a leg humping stalker. :loon :loon

I also grow corn every year, which makes me a cornstalker.

Beware. You might find me in your vegetable drawer, as opposed to any other drawers you may possess.

Are you jealous that Joe doesn't stalk you? I'm perfectly willing to lend him out a bit. We
are not in an exclusive relationship (stalker/victim).
