That would not be an adequate test of honor. General Lee gave up everything to satisfy the debt he owed to his family. The Japanese imperial soldiers of WW11 chose death over dishonor. Pretending is not good enough.

I believe you know that nobody is ever going to get banned for what you describe. If this thread wasn't started just to get attention, what was the purpose?

Jim you know I am not interested in personal attention, however I do like my ideas be to fairly considered: I am just bored and would like to test myself. Being banned would be like a kind of cyber death. Most of you are like a cyber-family, but if I was banned I would never come back again no matter how much I might desire it, my honor would depend on it. I suspect that honor is not a concept that most civilians truly understand.

True but there is in honor in keeping ones word. And if it was something that was easy to do it would not be a true test.

In that case someone else tells you not to return you don't say I will not return. I guess you could but that would be a little like sayin "I'll let the horse out after it runs past you of it's own volition.

If you were banned, "keeping ones word" would not be an issue because you would have no option in the matter. As I wrote earlier, if you want to prove something to yourself (no matter how silly it may be) you could ban yourself for a specific period of time and then stick to your word.

But I'm confident that would not impress anyone and certainly would make absolutely no sense to me.

But then again, a lot of the posts you've written recently are confusing.

My brother is dead and I am my mother is eighty five years old and so far has set records for longevity in our family. One of these days I am going to walk into her house and find her dead. I think you should seek help, liberty. You are writing like someone who is severely depressed. Please see a doctor. I know it's difficult to believe but I'm being serious.
