leaving on a jet plane

Post by Gob »

We bought our tickets for our next trip back to the UK, last night! We've been watching prices fall, and decided to bite the bullet. $1705pp.

Fly out on 30/9/13, return on 13/11/13. BA and Quantas this time, so no adventures like our Aeroflot/Moscow debacle. Stopping in Bangkok on both journeys.

I seem to recall a point in time when the plan was to move to the UK while Hatch went to school in France. Or did I dream that?

Well we're definitely going to move to the UK at some point, so Hen can experience a few years living abroad.

The France part was all a dream though. :D

Man up and come visit us here in the states. :nana

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Nothing I'd like more, but while my mother is still living, all our major overseas holidays will be visits to her.

And besides, I've never fancied being shot at....

I did some shooting yesterday. Went out on the lake with the snowmobile and a guy I know was down there ice fishing and had a 9mm semi pistol. No fish were biting so we set up some cans on the bank and did some target practice. I hit 7 out of 10. Not bad for non-pistol shooter. He hit 9 out of 10 but the one can that flew up in the air he hit it while it was still in the air.

Not even with a baby straped to your back?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Just don't fly on a boeing 787 dreamliner until they fix their problems (and maybe a few months after that).

I'm in South Oxfordshire for the most part these days, as ever, so still fairly central for the major transport nodes and as ever, fluid when it comes to the backwaters, Wales, the West Country, that sorta thing ;-)

Bugger, we stayed at Kingham on our last trip back, and visited Oxford and Stratford.

We may well be in that area on the next trip, keep in touch!

Good to see you back Jay! :ok
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

I'm not so bad mate, we're just about getting over a cyclone here and I've just watched the Fulham game which has put me in a good mood. Painful as it may be I'm going to be an honorary Scouser tonight too...

So what's new in Jay Tea land?

I rooted for the 'Pool as well, and they did us proud I thought, played very well (pains me to say it) and but for their shonky goalie would have won. Should have beaten Arsenal at their place as well.

Not much new here, same old work/bills/sex/war shenanigans ;) Keeps me on my toes though but, can't ask for more than that...
