Sad news from New Hampshire

Post by Guinevere »

For those that have not heard, AndyH and his lovely M lost their 23-year-old son suddenly last Saturday. I don't know what happened and don't know that I will. The funeral is Saturday (details are on his FB page), I plan to attend, and will carry hugs, condolences, and the wishes of anyone who asks. I'm sure Andy would appreciate hearing from any of you directly as well. There isn't much any of us can do but send our caring their way.

Parents are never supposed to have to bury their children. It's not supposed to happen that way.

I can't begin to imagine the pain Andy and his wife must be going through. I don't think any person who hasn't experienced this kind of supreme tragedy could. My heart truly goes out to him.

Absolutely horrible. I don't have any external means of contacting Andy, if someone who does could please pass along my deepest condolences.

I'll print out any messages posted here or PMd and take them with me to the funeral on Saturday to give to Andy.

Thanks Guin.

Please offer my deepest condolences to Andy and his family and make sure he knows that we're all thinking of him.

I heard about it on Facebook but I'm loath to say anything because it always comes out wrong
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Andy was kind enough to inform me via e-mail the day after the sad event happened. I sent flowers via an online site, but only have his work address to send them too, I hope he got them.

A mark of the decency of the man was that he signed off his e-mail remining me to hug Hatch often.

Our thoughts are with him and his family.

The weather -- we are supposed to have a major blizzard and 2 feet of snow Friday night/Sat AM -- may keep me from the drive (its almost 2.5 hours up there in decent weather/traffic), but I will see Andy and Michelle later and make sure they get all of your thoughts and wishes.

An obituary was just posted. I don't feel comfortable publishing personal information, but if anyone would want to read it, PM me and I will share the link.

Please tell Andy I am so sorry to hear of this; I can empathize. I wish I could say something that would make it better, but I don’t know what that would be.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.
