We got a text from her, Hen had to teach her how to send them before she left, she's in Singapore at the moment.

Singapore - about the only place on the planet where one can chew gum and get arrested at the same time. Once I slipped and fell on a slick sidewalk right in front of my hotel while trying to escape an early morning rainstorm. A Chinese Singaporean coming out of the hotel was faced with a dilemma; help or laugh? In the end he did neither and for all I know he may still be standing there, frozen by contrary impulses, turning away with one arm reaching out and a rictus of alarm combatting a smothered smile.

Be very alarmed if vice-mama returns with an answer to the age-old puzzle:

There’s no one who has told us yet
What Boogie Street is for.

A sticky situation, indeed.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

The dozy old bat just rang us from Beijing as she was in a panic...

... she'd forgotten to put a bet on the Melbourne cup.

So we had to do it, a $10 x $10 on number five, "Winchester."

GREEN Moon has won the $6.2m Melbourne Cup with Brett Prebble on board in a race run under the shadow of a betting scandal.
They're on to you two, Gob

Someone who shall remain nameless just emailed me;
I have just come out of a meeting with my ED regarding my leave credit.

I have been requested to taken leave before the end of the year to reduce my credit.

I will be taking 17 – 21 December 2012 off. I also need to have some leave paid out to me. My leave credit will be 10 weeks at the end of it.

They weren’t happy with me breaching the 3 months worth of leave credit.
