They went to these entry points for the express purpose of being assholes. They weren't being asked anything out of the ordinary for the purpose of entering the country. And they heavily edited the video to make it look like their continued refusal to answer questions somehow stymied the officers into letting them go.

Some border checkpoints are not located precisely on the inch occupied by the border. Makes no difference.
