Lifelong New Englander, never lived further south than Westerly, Rhode Island.

Anything else you want to be wrong about today, ruby?

If you rent an apartment, where will you park the Fleet?

You went to high school in one of the southern states, right?
Wherever Jarl went to high school rube, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that he wasn't taught that the Poles weren't victims of the Nazis, or that the Japanese planned to declare war before the attack began on Pearl Harbor, or that the British have had a second rate navy since the American Revolution, or that the defining characteristic of wealth is free time, or that there was no genocide before Christianity, or that there's no history of violence in Buddhism, or that Rousseau was a reactionary, or that 46 is one fourth of 80, or any of the other myriad of stunningly ignorant assertions you have made here over the years...

One thing I've learned from reading your posts rube, is that the quality of public education in the state of California must have gone to hell much earlier than I had previously thought...

Do you have even the slightest conception of how wildly amusing, (not too mention utterly inappropriate) it is for a man with your demonstrated breadth and depth of ignorance to be casting aspersions on the education of anybody else?

Of course you don't....

Which makes it even funnier....
the absurdity of your use of language
Rube, you have repeatedly referred to yourself as a "scientist"....

I'm hard put to imagine a more absurd use of language than that...

Rube, do you really think everybody's memory around here is as bad as yours?

You have made every single assertion in that list, and a ton of others on top of those.

I may have encountered a few people in my life time marginally more ignorant than you, but none with the exhibitionist impulse for broadcasting their deep ignorance on such a wide array of topics that you possess.

You are a staggeringly ignorant person; it's way past time that you came to grips with that fact. Maybe then you could finally start to do something about it, and stop embarrassing yourself.

Actually I've been flying a lot since the beginning of July. I usually try to get something different each trip. In order these were the rentals:

Mazda 3 Poky but otherwise ok. Keyless ignition. v good mileage.
NIssan sedan (don't recall which one) Nothing special.
Nissan Rogue It was what was left in the row and I thought my dad would find it easier to get in and out of.
Dodge Charger also keyless.
Dodge Challenger. Best looking. Most fun to drive but overboosted steering, brakes and throttle and huge acceleration lag (slushbox). Bad mileage.

The Charger and Challenger were shaped to fit really big fat people with weak arms and legs.

I'd rent the Challenger again. Its the first one my dad commented on positively.

So hows the sell/search going jaraxle?
Find any places in NH?
Get any bites on your house?

Dad's thinking of retiring from riding his mc next year (he'll be 82) and I told him before he does the two of us should take a ride to the Laconia rally next year (if he' up for it of course. It is a 6 hour ride from him). If your up there and if we go, maybe we could meet.

When you don't have anything to say, perhaps saying nothing is the right thing to do.

Otherwise you make a display of the poverty of your imagination.

I apologize for my part Jarl, but whenever I see rube trying to look down on someone, it evokes a strong impulse in me to remind him of just how short he is.... 8-)

We all should try this more often.

Otherwise you make a display of the poverty of your imagination.
Fixed that for you as I know you wanted to live by your suggestion. ;)

Nothing really happening yet...got one call, a guy who knows Liz's boss...but he seemed to think "rural area" means "more than three trees nearby". His exact words, "This is the middle of nowhere!" (Yep, it is!)

I did sell my Gremlin. The guy will pick it up sometime this week. (He's working weird hours, it's a logistical problem.)

Never done Laconia and really don't plan to (my big vacation is usually the Power Tour), but maybe we could meet enroute or something.
