Pet (animal companion) Dept.

Post by dales »

What type of animal companion or pet do you have?

Do they exhibit any type of humorous behavior?

I have a 4-year old Jack Russell Terrier.

She chases and barks at flies.

my dog snaps at flies as well.

she caught a wasp earlier this spring.
it appeared to sting her at least twice.

I hope she sticks to carpenter bees in future.

Two cats...Maya, a 7lb black shorthair, and Briza, a 15lb orange tabby.

Maya is currently on my lap.

Three needy little doggies, two un-needy cats, and a curmudgeonly parrot...

None of whom are dumb enough to try to eat a wasp... :P

I have a shih-tzu/Bichon cross, now in middle age. When she was a puppy she liked to catch big cicadas and just hold them in her mouth while they flapped their wings and buzzed, then she'd let them go. She thought that was hi-larious.

She caught a hornet once and it stung her on the muzzle and foot. She immediately collapsed on the ground and had to be carried home. (She's more than 20 lbs.) Drama queen.
GAH!

My cat chases a ping pong sized ball when I throw it and when he catches it, he often does a somersault. Other than that, he talks a lot.

Many different kinds of birds. I keep them outside because I believe in freedom. They tweet (really) and eat seeds. They are seed eating birds.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

I have a 15 year old coton who has been a great source of happiness and companionship and is now reaching her old age and is becoming a bit less social and a lot less energetic (she has congestive heart disease to a valve defect common to small dogs). But a lot of the time she still loves to lie next to someone on the chair, and on nice weekend she likes to sit on the deck while I smoke my pipe; because they are not as common, I think I appreciate those moments more.
