A US woman allegedly stole more than $US500,000 ($480,000) from her elderly in-laws to support her multimillion dollar gambling habit.
Florida detectives arrested Jennifer Dennison, 42, after a five-month investigation that began after a cheque written by Laverne Dennison, 88, and Janet Dennison, 73, bounced.
Mr and Mrs Dennison learned from their bank that their accounts had allegedly been emptied.
Jennifer Dennison spent about $US14 million over two years at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa. Her winnings totalled about $US13 million, the St. Petersburg Times reported.
Authorities said her husband, Scott Dennison, held power of attorney for his parents but Jennifer Dennison handled his finances.
She now faces multiple charges and remains in jail. No lawyer was listed for her.
