Sorry I spoke . . .

Post by ex-khobar Andy »

I keep a landline because - and maybe this is false reasoning - it seems that my junk calls go there and my phone tells me it's a 'Spam Risk' and if it's real, whoever will leave a message. I get very few spam calls on my mobile.

I do get spam texts, however. Usually they are, I assume, the sort designed to get the attention of a good-looking, intelligent, sophisticated and solvent elderly gent such as myself and I can safely ignore them. You know: "I'm bored. Whatcha doing???" I just swipe left and press the trashcan image.

Every now and then I get one which may be a genuine mis-dial. So yesterday I got: 'Hi Jenny - do you have any plans for the weekend? Can you come with me to Mrs. Helen's party?' correctly spelled and punctuated. So I responded 'Sorry - not Jenny - wrong number - enjoy the party!' thinking that s/he would correct their mistake and try again to contact Jenny. Which brought the response: 'Sorry, obviously I entered the wrong number, but I didn‘t enjoy the party at all.'

I really don't know what to do with this information.

I think you should post it on a 'net board somewhere.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

You've now fulfilled whatever obligation you may have had. It is now memorialized on this day.
