It’s official
It’s official
I am now a (co) US patent holder. I knew the patent was accepted a few months ago but I just got word that the patent was accepted today (due to being notified by someone trying to sell me a personalized award oddly enough). Woo hoo go me!
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Congratulations! Did you patent a spell-checker? It seems to be working for now...

Congrats! May you receive many years of exorbitant licensing fees and royalties.
GAH!

Not likely they are partly owned by my employer. Should be getting a nice little sum. And possiblyore as it may be going into production in Europe if not hopefully Ford will buy the Tech.

A car that runs on hot air?....if not hopefully Ford will buy the Tech.
Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Well done mate! Can I be your European rep?

Nice work! Does that come with a pair of glossy leather shoes?
Re: It’s official
Looks like I either got another patent or hit a pay milestone on my last one as I noticed I got a "patent bonus" check last week. (the only reason I noticed that as the separate check issued by the payroll company registered it as being "a significant drop" from my last pay period.)
Not that I'm complaining but it would have been nice to get some notification about this than it being flagged as a potential negative payroll anomaly.

Just out of curiosity CP, do you work for a European company; the only companies I worked for that paid patent bonuses (other than very nominal ones (less than $100 plus maybe a plaque or some sort of recognition dinner) were European ones. There has been a move in the US to give more substantial bonuses, but I have been out of the patent department loops for a good number of years so I don't know where that stands.
Re: It’s official
The company I work for is now Chinese. The amount we get is fairly comparable to others in the business as they don’t want to stifle creativity as the patents have the potential to either save money or work toward competitive advantage.
