I'd take my paradise against anyone's -- I live 50 feet from the ocean and a 3-5 minute walk from 2 beaches. Two more are a 10 minute walk away. I can be in the mountains in one of three different states in under three hours, and can ski locally-- either downhill or cross country after a 35 minute ride. And I live near one of the world's great cities, with symphony, museums, shopping, food, and incredible universities and all the diversity they provide.

I live amongst the feral people in a rainforest (or jungle if you believe British TV) on top of an extinct volcano.

But there you go!
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Salford was too posh for us. We lived in Moss Side and then Fallowfield...

There are a lot of great things about living in here in Portland, but I hate to see that advertised in articles like the on in this thread. No place is perfect, as the last three days of rain will confirm, but all in all, we got some good things going on.
