I would take whiskey over Champaign any day and soured hog slop over beer. Beer is just disgusting. Only cigarette smoke and tobacco juice can compete on the scale revolting.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

"Collecting" anything, whether it is art or exotic wine or antique cars, is always a "bigger fool" proposition. You buy it for one ridiculous price in the hope that when you are tired of it you will find someone who is a bigger fool than you were, so you can sell it for more than you paid.

When you think about it, there is not much in life that is traded for cash that is priced at its "intrinsic" value - provided such a thing can be ascertained.

Some people have gotten very rich by being smart enough to purchase things at ridiculous prices that were still less than they were able to sell them for later. In the face of this, it sometimes seems silly to work for a living.

I have the world's largest. collection of sea shells. I keep them scattered on beaches all over the world. Maybe you've seen some of them. - Steven Wright
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

A rare bottle of 55-year-old single malt has set a new world record after it was sold for £46,000, auctioneers said.

The bottle of Glenfiddich Janet Sheed Roberts Reserve fetched £46,850 at Bonhams in Edinburgh today, topping the previous auction record of just under £30,000 for a bottle of single malt whisky.

It is the first of 11 bottles of the 1955 tipple to be released to the public to honour Janet Sheed Roberts, the granddaughter of William Grant who founded the Glenfiddich distillery.
