Say LJ, I got booed this morning for that as well - told 'em that England's 3-2 win over Sweden in real football was the big news of the weekend.

Good point Jim! The European Championships are on at the moment...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

A major election in Egypt, another in Greece, and that's what you managed to come up with as the "big news" of the weekend?

Remind me not to pick you as the next Walter Cronkite....

You should have been booed, hissed and raspberried... :P

1.
Its fun to say "plasma".

2.
Plasma is the 4th state of matter (after solid, liquid, gas phase), the highest level of energy where electrons are disassociated from specific nuclei, and there is more matter in the form of plasma than any other (think about the relative mass of the Sun compared to everything else in the solar system, same deal in the rest of the universe).

3.
They aren't as good as OLED screens. But OLEDs are crazy expensive and have significantly high uncertainty about durability. LG is releasing a 4mm thick x 55in model for around $10,000 this year.

What rubato said.

Plus the one we got TV was recommended as best in it's class by several review sites, and was on offer, so we got it cheap.

It's so good, I almost put my book down last night, even though there was no rugby or cricket on.

My day off today, so I get to watch some DVDs the girls would not enjoy, starting with TTSS.
