Re: Best Airlines
One can only speculate about the percentage of the world's population that travels enough to render any meaningful opinion on this topic.
My guess is that it would be a zero, followed by a point, followed by several more zeros and a random number, say, "0.000000000000043%"
The best airline experience I ever had was on an Air Singapore flight. Coach.
Real china, real silver, beautiful, friendly stewardesses (NOT flight attendants), and good food. Didn't want to get off the plane.
For domestic, cheap flying in the U.S., I think Southwest has the right system. No assigned seats, carry your own stuff, and move quickly.

Why would the "world population" have anything to do with it Dave? It's more a case of those who do you use the facility.dgs49 wrote:One can only speculate about the percentage of the world's population that travels enough to render any meaningful opinion on this topic.
Approximately 1,423,500,000 people travel by airplane per year, about 3,900,000 passengers travel by flight every day.

Re: Best Airlines
I've never flown Virgin America or WestJet (which were rated higher) but I've flown Southwest a lot and agree with you there. Also agree about the possible number of informed voters in this poll, but it would have to be more than 0.00000001% of the world's population.

Re: Best Airlines
I'm always struck by how many airlines from Southeast Asia make the list - they must have an entirely different philosophy of what air travel is supposed to be like, or something.

I slept through the best flight of my life....
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is
Re: Best Airlines
My best flight was with Hen, Japan Airlines, just over St Petersburg if I remember correctly.

Re: Best Airlines
Not an Aeroflot in sight. I am not surprised. They certainly rated as my worst airline.
Bah!
