Although this has no particular relevance to me, I consider that BMI is a sub-par way of measuring one's health (or whatever it is supposed to be measuring). There is no allowance for body type, muscularity, overall fitness, or the presence of disease. By this measure, most professional (American) football players would be classified as "obese."
Interestingly I was told that I was most like someone from Italy, which is where my parents are from. Genetics and pasta will win out in the end, I guess.

Don't forget folks BMI is an undiscriminating measure.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, at the height of his bodybuilding fame and beauty, was clinically obese according to the BMI, but he carried a great deal of muscle rather than fat.
I suffer from the same problem, to a slightly lesser degree....
