The event, which is in its 15th year, attracted 55 couples from around the world, with some travelling from Australia, Poland and Ireland to take part in the race in Sonkajarvi, eastern Finland.
The winning pair, Taisto Miettinen and Kristiina Haapanen from Finland, won the wife's weight in beer as their prize.

I thought that was really fair way to determine the prize...won the wife's weight in beer as their prize.
Obviously, a contestant with a lighter wife would have a distinct advantage, so it only seems fair that the bigger the wife, the bigger the prize...
