Oh I agree, I'd rather see a lot of one place, than a little of a lot of places. But if we were back UK based, a day in Gay Paree would not be to onerous.

Maybe you'll even learn to like it one day

Bon voyage! :ok

Bon voyage, Guin!

Have a lovely time Guin.

My favourite time in Paris was taking the funicular up to the Sacre Coeur and visiting the little bars and cafes in Montmatre.

You may just be using shorthand and are already aware of this, but unless the appliance you are plugging in has a built-in 120V/240V switch, an outlet adapter is not enough. You need a step-down transformer to plug 120V appliances into a 240V outlet.

Just want to report that I'm having an amazing trip. Even the work parts have been wonderful, and our group of 10 American, French, and German participants in the seminar got along tremendously. The French men, in particular, had the best manners I've ever seen.

I'm sitting on le Blvd St Germain having a cafe creme break (there is no sleeping here - I've regularly been up to midnight and 1 am) after some "early" sightseeing and shopping. Back to my hotel to stash the shopping bags, find dejeuner, and then I'm spending the afternoon at the Musee de Moyen Age with the Cluny tapestries and other Renaissance art.

Tomorrow is my last day for fun - I have a Monday morning flight home. It will be very tough to leave!

Change your ticket and stay another week.

Why not?

There is more than enough to do there. It will be good for your mental health. And when will you be back there again? It's worth it.

Unfortunately, professional obligations (and my real life) require my return.

Saw my Swiss Boyfriend win his first match at the French Open earlier today - my trip really is complete!
