Saw him in Vegas, many moons ago. His stage shows are really quite long and in depth. They edit them for the televised versions, including HBO who don't edit his language, just trim the length of his show.

He (Carlin) often gets quite philosophical, while Connolly is just ribald; funny grant you, but coarse. Fart jokes, not matter how elaborate, are fart jokes.

Loca had you have seen any of Billy Connolly other than the coupla you tube clips Gob has posted you would realise there are many more layers to his work than fart jokes. It is quite obvious that you know about as much about Billy Connolly as you do about art, yet you still feel qualified to try and tell me about both!

Oh god, the old boy's stil got it!

He came on stage at 8.00 pm prompt and didn't leave until 10.45, no breaks, no intervals.

I thought Hatch was going to have a seizure at one point, she was laughing so hard.

Sean & SMF, you're in for a treat, take a change of underwear, or wear adult nappies.

If you enjoy that type of thing.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

It was the second time I have seen him live, it was just as good as the first.

There is something about witnessing a comedic legend perform that I will never regret.

I am so glad that the Hatch was able to come along as well.

It is something she'll never forget, even if she prefers Bill Bailey!
Bah!

Well Billy was an absolute scream. 68 years old and he can still slay it!

He doesn't like Canberra very much though...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Funny, he thought Canberra was the best thing since sliced bread....when he was here......

I don't have much time for most two-faced people. I think it is time to add Billy to that list.

I don't think it would be in his best interests to stand on stage in Canberra and talk for 20 mins about what an "incredibly dull shithole"* it is...

*Yes, that is a verbatim quote. As soon as he said it I mentally stored it for this very occasion... ;)

Very good.

I am now going home to destroy my ticket souvenier and all other things brought from Two-faced Bill.

(I knew Bailey was the man for me.)

Oh ... and I am glad he didn't find out the good places to go in Canberra. At least I won't have to share them with visitors.

(I knew I shouldn't have gone to his show after his last DVD.)
Bah!

Loved him, loved him, loved him. he lived up to all my expectations and then some. In fact at one point i started to get chest pain from laughing so hard.

What i thought was sad tho, he has aged so much. he reminded me of Professor Dumbledore when he first walked on stage. The day that man dies it will be a huge, huge loss in this world, and i amongst many others will be very sad.

I just have one thing left to say "Irritants Unite* whilst humming Manhattan Transfer!
