We all do
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

since I began driving I always wore my seat belt thinking it is a good thing to do. However, when my state passed a seatbelt law I stopped,
You sound like me. :o I did the same thing. Don't remember how long I bucked the system but I ended up wearing the belt. Now I feel naked in a car if I don't have my seatbelt on.
And I too got a seatbelt ticket rather than the "real ticket". Mine was for going down the shoulder before the turning lane to make a right hand turn. Points vs no points,..... tuff decision.

I think helmets do their most good during low speed riding, under 30mph? Highway speed I think we are pretty much road kill and a helmet won't do much. As my sister pointed out with her brain bucket jargon, the head rips cleanly off and it makes transport that much easier.
