Not in Windows 8.1 either - it's "show picture" but that is faded out - not a selectable option when the cursor is over a picture on this website. Maybe I'm on Exploder 9 or 10 - I dunno - but I don't think it's got anything to do with Exploder does it?

HAVE YOU TRIED THIS?
Go to "control panel" click on "mouse" and see if there are any changes you can make that conform with anything you've read so far.

It has everything to do with using Internet Exploiter.
If he's using IE there's nothing he can do with one mouse click. IE has no EASY function that Chrome and Firefox have for viewing ONLY the image. IE, to resize, you have to resize the whole page or use the workaround I posted here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14873&p=188752#p188752
Which is hardly worth the effort.
IE is a dying browser. MS has already replaced it with Edge.
