...sucks. Getting ready to do so also sucks. Doing so while job-hunting REALLY sucks. That is all. :arg :arg

Agreed. Moving sucks. And if you are like me, the longer you live someplace the more "stuff" you accumulate, which makes it worser and worser.

Good luck on the job search. Try to be as creative as possible.

Actually, its going well. (Liz, not me.) She had a phone interview today & may have a road test tomorrow. if so...awesome!

On the plus side, we (Liz, actually) found a place...I thought finding one with parking for 4 cars & willing to take cats would be tough, but Liz did it! I'll be seeing it Saturday. If it is ok, we're taking it. Bonus: it has a garage. :D

JB Hunt is always looking for drivers, and I heard they pay fairly well.

Of course you can hear anything

I truly love my wife. Had I written down everything I wanted in a place to live, it would have greatly resembled the place she found. And the owners not only allow cats, but fell in love with Maya.

I have to add...Live Free Or Die!

Does anyone like moving all the time? Between 1992 and 2005 we moved six times to accomodate, education, training, and careers but we're firmly planted back home again with no ambitions to move again a-tall. The networks of love, friendship , and mutual obligation which can form in a stable community are beyond anything that can be had by constant motion.

(agnes cunningham)
(c) - (f) - (g)

(c) how can you keep on moving un (f) less you migrate (c) too
They tell ya to keep on moving but (g) migrate, you must not do
The (c) only reason for moving and the (f) reason why i (c) roam
To move to a new lo (g) cation and find myself a (c) home

I can't go back to the homestead, the shack no longer stands
They said i was uneeded, had no claim to the land
They said, "come on, get moving, it's the only thing for you"
But how can you keep moving unless you migrate too

Now if you pitch your little tent along the broad highway
The board of sanitation says, "sorry, you can't stay"
Come on, come on, get moving it's their everlasting cry
Can't stay, can't go back, can't migrate, so where the hell am i

How can you keep on moving unless you migrate too
They tell ya to keep on moving but migrate, you must not do
The only reason for moving and the reason why i roam
To move to a new location and find myself a home
Pastures of Plenty
Words and Music by Woody Guthrie

It's a mighty hard row that my poor hands have hoed
My poor feet have traveled a hot dusty road
Out of your Dust Bowl and Westward we rolled
And your deserts were hot and your mountains were cold

I worked in your orchards of peaches and prunes
I slept on the ground in the light of the moon
On the edge of the city you'll see us and then
We come with the dust and we go with the wind

California, Arizona, I harvest your crops
Well its North up to Oregon to gather your hops
Dig the beets from your ground, cut the grapes from your vine
To set on your table your light sparkling wine

Green pastures of plenty from dry desert ground
From the Grand Coulee Dam where the waters run down
Every state in the Union us migrants have been
We'll work in this fight and we'll fight till we win

It's always we rambled, that river and I
All along your green valley, I will work till I die
My land I'll defend with my life if it be
Cause my pastures of plenty must always be free
yrs,
