Budget hotel chain offers UK's cheapest marriage package including bride and groom outfits and buffet reception
By Daily Mail Reporter

Couples worried about forking out thousands on their wedding can now get married at a budget hotel - for just £199. The wedding, thought to be the cheapest ever for an entire package, has gone on offer for couples unable to afford the average bill of £21,000 - and even includes a best man's speech template.

The bargain basement deal - offered by hotel chain Premier Inn - also provides the bride's dress and groom's suit, confetti for the guests, a buffet reception for up to 20 guests and the wedding cake.

WHAT YOU GET FOR £199
Wedding dress and groom's suit from Asda
Wedding cake from Asda

Buffet reception for 20 people
Pyjamas from Primark
Confetti
Best man's speech template
Two-night honeymoon at the Premier Inn - including breakfast, sparkling wine, chocolates and rose petal strewn marital bed
And the happy couple do not even have to remember to bring their pyjamas as the hotel provides them nightwear from budget clothes shop Primark. Guests at the reception will have to content themselves with just one alcoholic beverage over the course of the celebration, as will the bride and groom on each night of the honeymoon.

Just 10 couples will be able to take advantage of the offer, which is running at five hotels within the chain - Warrington, Swansea, Sheffield, Wigan and Barnsley - from November 1 to December 23. But a spokeswoman insisted the deal would be extended if the hotel received positive feedback from wedding guests.

On the cheap: The honeymoon package includes two nights at a Premier Inn hotel, dinner and breakfast, a bottle of Asda sparkling wine, chocolates and strawberries and rose petals for the bed

Premier Inn spokesman Steve Conway said: 'A wedding day doesn't need to cost a fortune for it to be special.
'We hope that our bargain wedding package will help couples to have an enjoyable, romantic, stress-free day and a honeymoon that won't break the bank.'

The wedding dress and groom's suit are from supermarket Asda - as is the cake and the sparkling wine.

As someone who had an el cheapo wedding i think its fab.....Seans trousers and shirt were dearer than my dress!!

We has a fantastic day, there were no airs and graces, no speeches, no best man,no bridesmaids. Everyone was comfortable enough to misbehave just the right amount!!

The only think I would change was that we hired the entire restaurant for us and we could have afforded to pay for everyones evening!

Your wedding was fantastic, I'm so glad we were invited, thanks again! (even if I did get a little "over refreshed" at the reception..)

Its not available in any of the Premier Inns in our area, Holiday Inn Express do a package for £999 which is the cheapest we've found however there will be extra costs to all of them as we are finding out big time.

Currently we're trying to work on a budget of £4,000 and we are struggling :? Our son and diltb have found a venue, the price looked superb until you get to the little "extras" it's still going to work out cheaper than anywhere else other than doing it ourselves and diltb's sister who diy'd it herself last year says she spent almost as as that much anyway. The stings in the tail are £500 room hire as we're only having 50 guests the biggests sting of all is the booze it's either £4.60 per glass(!) for fizzy plonk (£8.90 for champagne) or we can supply our own but theres a £15 per bottle corkage charge!! (£18 for champers). We spent yesterday juggling figures and trying to work out what we can cut and after our son confided in us that diltb had spent all Saturday night crying her eyes out and hopefully we've got to a point where they can go ahead and make a booking and we'll worry about the rest later.

Trying to arrange our wedding for under £1000 including the cost of a bespoke wedding ring to fit my unusual engagement ring.

We're going to Gretna Green on April 30th, there are 8 people including ourselves and we're having it at the Anvil Hall so we can take the doggies in with us. We're taking the caravan and moving it from Gretna to Moffat for the honeymoon.

By contrast a two collegues of mine go married last week and the final bill for theirs was around £30,000!

Back when I married, we saved quite a lot doing it military style. We had the wedding at the base chapel(free) and I wore my dress blue formal uniform(free). However, I should have noticed that the Ex wasn't being thrifty but was a stingey skinflint, when he bought my wedding ring at a discount mall jewelers, getting a cheap stone because it was flawed! He convinced me it was a 'unique feature' of my diamond, that it had feather in it, meaning a crack. Later, I discovered an inclusion that large that you could see it with the naked eye meant that it was a very low quality gem.

You think that's cheap? Ask Hen how much her engagement ring cost. (She still has it.)

Engagement Rings??!!! be grateful you got them!

I am still waiting for mine......Having a baby and building a house seemed better finance than buying a big sparkly ring!!

However I just KNOW hes saving for a really big one and going to surprise me sometime with it!!
