remember when we were joking about me being in Michigan?
funny coincidence....
I just talked to my son, and it turns out that he was in Michigan this week and just got home today...
the company he works for builds monster trucks as well as doing millwright work.
they have their own truck called the "Saigon shaker" and he was in Michigan on the crew, for some monster truck show, I forgot to ask where in Michigan.

Bloody hell! How cheap are houses in Detroit?
If i sold my townhouse in the UK I could buy a beautiful detached house and have $200k to spare ... Most of me and my husbands work is freelance IT Business Analysis and Project Management so with a good internet connection and a decent airport ....
Wow!

you can get one for a couple grand , daisy, but he copper pipes and wiring have been cut out and sold for scrap.
as long as the roof is good and the is structure intact the repairs are doable with another few thousand if you re handy.

Downtown Midtown and a few ther places. As. General rule of thumb the farther you get off the Woodward corridor the worse things get. Detroit is a big place and while it is on the rebound it is going to be a long road to recovery. That being said if you're willing to put in the work there's a lot of interesting things going on there now.
