meade, I posted about john Kasich in a thread about john Kasich, and you replied with some irrelevant post, signifying how irrelevant my previous post was.

I m kinda annoyed that you even made me type it out, since it was so obvious to anyone who read it.

I m even more annoyed that you chose to pick an argument in a Little League thread. this is about young men, boys really, of 12 and 13 years, and their struggle for victory and acceptance of defeat. (girls softball is similar but this thread is about the boys)

it s about acceptance of defeat with honor and a handshake, and acceptance of victory with grace.

now you understand baseball...

...and it was our hometown team. I m not involved with the Little League anymore, but I either coached managed or umpired for about thirteen years.

so congratulations to the new jersey boys

Oh OK. I th6ought you posted about some TV program you thought worth watching so I posted an even more interesting one. Forgot that thread was about Kasich.

But did you watch that game and see the Chelsea keeper Berdic make a wonderful save from Man City's Aguero? It drew applause from Aguero and the two of them exchanged a fist bump in recognition of great shot/great save. Good sportsmanship there.

One of the ESPN programming decisions I like less than when they went all in on Hold 'em Poker tournaments is the proliferation of Little League World Series games that are shown. It used to be the final game made television, but now they show many of the regional tournament games, then most of the games in the final tournament. This just highlights the negative side of this, the epitome of the over-important youth sport, where it is more important to the adults involved than the kids.

Right on, Long Run - that and the cheating.
