I was given some socks for christmas, very nice socks comfy and warm, and I was putting them on I noticed that one had the letter "L" in a red triangle by the joint of the great toe and the other had the letter "R" in the same place.


Have socks started coming in left and right versions? Is this a new thing? I can't tell if they actually fit better one way or the other.

I think they make some athletic socks that way but it's probably just a gimmick.

They were just considering your limited abilities. Very kind of them.

Fad. My grandgirl's friends all bought 'em.

If both of the socks you received for Christmas had an 'R' on them they would be more appropriate.

Q) Why is that?

A) Because there would be no L.

Now who did I steal that from?

Those are one of my favorite sock brands! Also Acorn fleece socks. Good socks are heaven on earth.

I have hiking socks with R&L on them. They support the arch of the foot in different places.

Makes more sense than having the markings on bra cups I suppose.
