The Silence of the Leeks

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

Re: The Silence of the Leeks
How many seats do England, Scotland, and Wales have at The United Nations?
ETA:
And by your "logic", why isn't it a Seven "Nations" competition with a Cornish team as well, huh?

Is that last column "Pints"?
(Oh wait, no, even per capita all those figures would be way, way, WAY too low...)

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

1. None - what has that to do with anything?Lord Jim wrote:How many seats do England, Scotland, and Wales have at The United Nations?

2. If a Cornish team forms, perhaps there will be. Probably difficult to find sufficient Cornish-born rugby players though.
And it's not my "logic" but a dictionary definition. Some of your arguments are very silly.

I can almost hear Gob trying to decide whether to ignore the ignominious failing of the Welsh team vs. congratulating England on their superior play and crushing of all opposition.

changing the comma to a period would have been a more simple correction of ray s error.
his sentence has more of a punctuatory (new word?) problem than it has a grammatical problem

Hush, it makes the little dears so proud; they've made up their own special flags and they like so much to run around in short pants and oompaloompa shirts.
Besides, no one is letting them have a navy or anything dangerous like that.

Well, rubato - that's just Wales and Scotland. We English have a navy. Don't we? We did...

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

France 21-31 England: England win the Six Nations grand slam
Oh, Taff? Taff? Hello?Anyone who says this was an easy grand slam is an idiot, of course. Winning all five matches, especially when you’re a team everyone takes extra pleasure in beating, is an excellent achievement. Never mind where they were six months ago. Never mind that they had only two home games. Never mind that this is a young team with 16 players born in the 1990s and a new coach. Congratulations England, Eddie Jones and Dylan Hartley – whom we all desperately hope is OK – on a fine, fine Six Nations and grand slam title. There’s a long way to go, but they’ve shown they’re capable of rapid improvement
