25¢ Tickets to the Opening Homestand at Yankee Stadium

Post by Bicycle Bill »

Best seats in the house!!
And all you have to do to win them is to promise to dress like you've never sat in the "premium seating" section before.

Note — British soccer hooligans need not apply, as they would be considered to have an unfair professional advantage.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

Bugger.

I believe the proper terminology is "football hooligans."

Indeed it does, especially the ones who sit in those premium sections behind home plate. :D

They have the same premium seating at the Giant's park (ATT Park). My wife buys tickets there when she goes to a game. She loves the in-seat service, full bar &c. Always has a great time. She's got tickets for the 18th, as it happens.

rubato--I recall sitting in club level seats at a few Giants games that had all those perks, but you did have to pay for the food and drinks. In Yankee stadium, the premium seats they are referring to take it to a new level by including all the food and soft drink prices (but not hard liquor as I recall) and then charging a few hundred dollars extra for what amounts to a little fast food. The seats are well placed location-wise, but the prices are ridiculous for what you get (I was a guest in those seats once and would bet most, if not all, the people there were business guests or hosts). Indeed, a good number of the people there didn't even watch the game.

I'm sure that every team in baseball has premium seating with the benefits varying slightly as you point out.

No doubt, but I have not seen any tem take it to as high a level (and price) as the Yankees, presumably because they can.

So far we've had unicorns, sharks, and Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Thursday was the last day of the three day prankfest, and a pair of dragons showed up.

At least the Yankees were civil and displayed good sportsmanship over having been pwnd as badly as they were.  They even put up a sign on the Jumbotron Thursday reading "Thanks, John Oliver.  Everyone is welcome at Yankee Stadium."
(unposted, of course, was the disclaimer — "provided you can afford it".)

I vote for this guy:

Not only does he fit the bill dress-wise, he'll also probably engage in some proselytizing... :ok

Or maybe the Hogettes can be coaxed out of retirement:
