IIRC that would just about cover the cost difference between what it costs to send us stuff vs. what it costs to send you stuff. (I make no statements as to where these charges are incurred just that there is/was a vast difference)

I wonder if this rate increase affects Santa Claus. 
He does have to fly extra far to get to Australia, and in this economy, everyone is looking for ways to make up for lost income.
