An outdoor swimming pool in Penzance, Cornwall, has reopened after too much sunshine caused it to be temporarily closed.
Tempus Leisure, which runs the Jubilee Pool, said a combination of sunshine and warmth created an algal bloom which shut the lido on Friday.
The Art Deco pool was wrecked by severe storms in January and February 2014 and underwent a £3m restoration.
The lido's official reopening ceremony was held on Saturday 28 May.

A pool that size would require a TON (or more) of algaecide to kill a bad bloom. Algae is nothing to sneeze at.
That is a neat seaside salt water pool with an interesting history. I had to google it.

Thanks for that link!
Damn interesting, especially as I'm moving back to the Penzance area in 2 years or so.

Hmm, let's see, one million gallon capacity, one pound of chlorine per 3,000 gallons of water. I wish I held that contract.
