Well, it's understandable. First they tied with Portugal....
A goal from Birkir Bjarnason earned Iceland a shocking 1-1 tie with Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal in St.-Étienne, France, in Iceland’s first match at a major tournament.
Cristiano Ronaldo reacted to a restorative night for the game with all the petulance and pettiness of a spoilt child.
“Iceland didn’t try anything,” whined the Portuguese captain. “They were just defend, defend, defend and playing on the counterattack. It was a lucky night for them. We should have three points but we are OK. I thought they’d won the Euros the way they celebrated at the end. It was unbelievable. When they don’t try to play and just defend, defend, defend, this in my opinion shows a small mentality and they are not going to do anything in the competition.”
Then on the 18th they tied 1-1 with Hungary in their second (ever) major tournament match.
And just yesterday, June 22nd, they beat Austria 2-1 and the commentator reacted to their first ever major competition winning goal. Good for him!

Does anybody here know enough Icelandic to tell if the announcer was actually saying something or if these were just random sounds and squeals coming out of his mouth? -"BB"-

they tie Portugal who is 33 times their size, they tie Hungary who is 33 times their size, then they beat Austria who is 28 times their size. Pretty amazing run. I'd scream too.
I'd love to go back to Iceland. Great people, amazing landscape. I had Minke whale there for lunch, fan-tastic.
