I note from commercials while watching the Tour de France, that Taylor Phinney will be at the Rio Olympics as a bike rider. His mother, Connie Carpenter-Phinney, was the youngest American to make the Winter Olympic team, as a speed skater at age 14. She also took Gold as a biker at the '84 Olympics in Los Angeles. His father, Davis Phinney also took a Bronze in cycling at the '84 Olympics.
Is there anybody else, ever, who made the Olympic team and had both parents medal in the same sport?
