The NFC East has had quite a turn-around from last season, when they were the doormat of the league and the 'Skins finished first by virtue of being the only team in The Conference with a record over .500...(and they still would have won it if they'd gone 8-8...)
Today, three of the four top teams in the NFC are in the NFC East...
But of course even though they are 6-3-1, The Redskins have still managed to blow it in some heart-breakingly close games ...(they wouldn't be the Redskins if they didn't... )
Especially that tie with The Bengals in Merry Olde England, where Hopkins had to kick a 34 yard field goal in overtime twice and missed on the second attempt...(nobody bests the 'Skins when it comes to designing unique and creative ways to avoid winning a football game...)
And of course aside from that hideous opening day blow-out defeat against The Steelers, The Redskins other two defeats have been by a total of seven points between them...
But a win over The Cowboys on Turkey Day would cover a multitude of sins...

Well, since the Dall-ass Cowboys are one of the few teams I hate almost as much as I despise the Minnsnowta Vi-queens, I'll overlook your Republican leanings (you did, after all, vote for HRC which shows you were willing to put aside your party loyalty in favor of doing what would have been the best for the republic ... so I guess there's hope for you yet), put on my Redskins hat on Thursday, and cheer for your side. -"BB"-

Although I do like the older logo better than that swooshy thing they use now. -"BB"-

Ahem. 1997? That's the best you've got? Pats have won FOUR Superbowls since then.

And lost three, and didn't make it into the Super Bowls the other times during those 39 years.

Actually 38 years since 1977, but I rounded up.

Yes, but BikeBill and I were only talking about the period since January 1997. 19 years.

The Pats also lost the rematch, 28-10, nine months later .... at Foxboro. And in the other four meetings since then, we've gone 2-2.
Pats have won FOUR Superbowls since then.
But they didn't have play Green Bay in any of them.
We've also been to two more Super Bowls since then and won one of those as well, so each team has four Lombardi Trophies in their Hall of Fame.
(oooohh, wait a sec...... the Pats don't have a Hall of Fame like Green Bay does, do they?) -"BB"-

And for Econoline .....
BTW - what's the latest word on the report that the Bears are going to build a new stadium in the northern suburb of Glenview so that they can wear a big 'G' on their helmets just like the Packers do? -"BB"-

I stand corrected; I was still working under the misconception that Green Bay's Hall of Fame & Museum was (1) the only one dedicated to a single NFL team and (2) was still free-standing; i.e., in its own building. I had not realized that it had been downsized and moved into a part of the Lambeau Field expanded atrium area. -"BB"-
