As the Eden Project is based in Cornwall, our World Pasty Championships celebrate the traditional Cornish pasty recipe, as well as some more unusual varieties.
From the Americas to Australia, pasties derived from recipes passed down by Cornish emigrants over centuries are eaten and enjoyed by many millions of people.
We've invited entries from around the world to our championships, and we'll set the table for both amateur and professional bakers to parade their wares. The championships are supported by the Cornish Pasty Association.
Alternatively, you can join us for a day of celebrations of all things Cornish, with a brilliant line-up of live music and comedy throughout the day.

Gee, I wish I had known this was going on...as well as some more unusual varieties.
I'd have entered my ground lamb, garlic, onion, diced potatoes, diced jalapenos and sliced mushrooms pasty recipe in the competition...
A sure-fire Blue Ribbon winner...
Put the rest of those sad, bland meat pies to shame...

Jim--Gob is dissing your pasties--it's just like you have your nipples exposed! Don't let him get away with it or he'll go for your G-string next.
Re: Canadian wins!!
If curried chicken and Thai veggies are suitable pasty contents, why not LJ's? Sounds delish!

Or mozzarella and parmesan, which don't sound particularly like traditional Cornish ingredients to me.
