Yes, it's a real thing, based on Native American names for the monthly full moons. "Pink" because of the flowers of April. http://www.almanac.com/content/full-moon-names


The genius of that ad is that it truly captured the feeling of driving that car under a night sky. No question sometimes I enjoyed the ride (to or from) more than the party. And April was about the time top down season started in earnest. Plus Drake, of course.

Why then didn't I hear about the "worm" moon?

I don't know CP, I don't know what you read and listen to. But around here, we talk about the different moon phases pretty regularly.

Plus, "pink moon" is a far more evocative image than "worm moon." After all, there is even a song about it.

And April was about the time top down season started in earnest.

And motorcycle season starts in earnest.
