When the serial killer BTK came back out of the shadows after several years of inactivity, he left a cereal box of his crime scene mementos propped against a road sign. A serial killer with a sense of humor. He seemed to want to be caught.

It turned out to be a box of "Unlucky Charms."
“In a world whose absurdity appears to be so impenetrable, we simply must reach a greater degree of understanding among us, a greater sincerity.”
It is followed by some other BTK stories as well as others that are more timely.
The sign post where he placed the box is almost exactly two miles straight south of my house. I never knew how terrified Mrs Mc was of BTK for MANY years until that cereal box turned up
I know several people who knew BTK, some of whom worked with him. One was his assistant scout master, and claims to have slept with BTK more than any other person except for BTK's wife. They shared a tent on Boy Scout camping trips.
I worked with a man whose wife was one of BTK's victims. Of course the cops always suspect the spouse first. Besides the fact that it nearly ruined his life as he had to defend himself against, he lost his wife. I didn't know of his connection to BTK until a few years after I had known him.
