I think that the most fun is when the little kids ask what I m doing and I tell them that I m catching Krabby Patties....

their little eyes light up and they smile....

one little girl said..., "krabby Patties aren t real"!

"let s go jellyfishing!!!!"

I love me some spongebob squarepants.....

no jellyfish in the water this year, so that has been good.....

From 2012 to 2014, there were reports of individual blue crabs showing up in parts of the Gulf of Maine from Duxbury Bay and Marblehead, Mass., to New Hampshire and even as far north as Nova Scotia. While it's not unheard of for the crabs to venture so far north, there aren't any established populations in the colder waters.
Emphasis added.

Again, I'm sure that Guin thanks you for making her point for her.

Tons of stuff in an outhouse, too, or at the city dump... you just need to be able to tell the good stuff from the junk.

Which did not support your claims.

it seems that scooter decides, raythom......

I provided links for guin.

scooter decided to shit on the thread.

anyway, guin, the link to the scientific American article is interesting.

they interview a guy from woods hole....

I don t know what scooter is talking about.

neither does he.

maybe in ten or twenty years we will know if the crabs have established a breeding population north of the cape.....

until then..., head down to the southern coast of the the cape and catch some free crabs!!!!

anyway, this was fun while it lasted......

In wes's universe, quoting his own sources constitutes shitting on the thread.

I'm sorry that you see yourself as such a loser that you have to adopt this tack.

Explains why you voted for Trump, though.

when used to fish the jetty at the canal there was usually a giant ocean sunfish slowly floating up or down the jetty.

it was pretty amazing to me.

my dad had told me about seeing them, but I never thought that I would have one as a fishing buddy....

while I was googling stuff I also found that a sailfish has been caught in the canal in 2013.....

good fishing up your way guin.....

crap.

hurricane Florence is being predicted, on the weather channel, to possibly follow the path of the 1933, Chesapeake - Potomac hurricane....

that storm devastated the Chesapeake

on the bright side, there will be free boats floating everywhere if it happens.....

I caught about 30 nice jimmy crabs today.

I kept about half and gave the rest away....

best tasting ones of the year.

all heavy and clean.

I stopped using egg in my crabcakes this year......

they fall apart more easily but I think the flavor of the crab is better without the egg to mask it.

I ve made a couple of crab omelettes, but they weren t all that.

I think that if I made crabcakes amd THEN put the crab cakes in the omelette it would be better....

maybe tomorrow....
