I heard on local radio that at the end of the season three years ago Nick Fowles decided to just play out his contract and move on with his life. Pro Football was not his future. "With that decision, last year and again this year, he is playing with house money and has nothing to lose." And in many activities, that attitude can be a tremendous advantage.

Given the kind of luck the Eagles have had this year, I fully expected to see the Saints fumble the ball while trying to run out the clock, and then watch a Philly defensive lineman scoop it up and lumber into the end zone for a game winning last second touchdown...(The PAT kick would then be good of course)
