My team is still in the hunt.  Fighting for their post-season lives after taking two straight losses at Chavez Ravine, they bounced back with a 7-2 victory Friday night ... so it all comes down to a single game, and we've got home-field advantage. I like our chances.  Far better than the shot I had at the Megamillions jackpot....

Both of my teams ( The Giants and the Nationals) crapped out so I really don't have a dog in this fight...

I would have rooted for the Brewers (If neither of my teams can make it , it's nice to see an underdog prevail) but now I suppose I'll have to root for the Red Sox because, you know, Dodgers...

Being a SF Giants fan, I automatically hate the LA Dodgers.

Being a National League fan, the other league with its DH rule is for chumps.

To be honest I didn’t get excited about the Series this year either; I was at the start, hence the thread - but then the horrifying reality of how broken my country is came brutally clear this past week and made it hard to feel any joy about anything.

Damn, and I was just getting into it.

when he played for the shorebirds, he lived in a house that I later rented, and my landlord introduced my son to him, he autographed his bat, when my son was about 9.

this kid sawed it off one day at the plate....
