Wasn't that car an extra in the Harry Potter films?

The Harry Potter car was a Ford Anglia 105E, model year uncertain, but details seem to indicate it being pre-1966.
(..... and as an aside, just how geeky is it that I know that without even looking it up?)

If you want to see a brilliant English movie "starring" the Ford Anglia this is for you. Richard Todd at his best.

My first two cars were Ford Anglia. I'm thinking of trying to get another as a hobby car.

My dad's first vehicle was an A35 van - that lovely green. Second was the Ford Anglia and I learned to drive in that; lovely car. After that came the Fiat 500. Then it was a Citroen CV. All downhill after the Anglia (that was the only direction in which the last two could safely travel)

Heartbeat
IIRC all the cars in Z-Cars were Ford Zodiacs and Zephyrs.

I thought it was obvious enough that this was not meant literally as not to require more detailed explication. I was wrong.
