What work is done and usually done badly? My nomination for a typical job that is almost always badly done is paving patchwork following utility work (water, sewer, electric, gas). These paving jobs are almost always done poorly from the outset and quickly deteriorate into pot holes. A corollary is that the utilities follow the full street paving projects around and dig up the nicely paved streets within a few months, ensuring almost all of the roads are in constant state of holes and rutted messes. Any other nominees for bad jobs?
