I'm driving a museum piece

The news came like a blow to the gut for this child of 1950s suburbia:
Volvo, the company most associated with station wagons for the last 20 years, will stop selling wagons in the U.S. The market is drying up.
The Volvo wagon had been on life support for months. After dropping the larger V70 Volvo in 2010, Doug Speck, CEO of Volvo Cars of North America, told Automotive News he was giving the V50 another year because there "is a bit more energy in the small wagon segment."
Not enough, apparently. Volvo, which was sold to China's Geely in 2010, sold just 480 V50s last year, about two per dealer.
Other makers have been quietly dropping wagons for years as their customers flee to more utilitarian vehicles.

I'm not sure Volvo is the company most associated with station wagons. Subaru has sold a lot more Outbacks than Volvo has sold wagons in the U.S.
Volvo has greatly improved their image in the past decade or so, but prior to that it was known as the chosen brand for college professors and people who wanted a Mercedes but couldn't afford one.

"Volvo's -yes they are boxy but they are safe"
Prefer this one tho : Porsche. It's a little too small to get laid IN, but you get laid the minute you get out!

Subaru doesn't sell wagons, they sell SUVs and cross overs. Don't ask me to 'splain why an Outback is an SUV and a V70 is a wagon. For that matter, an XC-70 is an SUV but it is the same car that sits an inch or two higher than the V70.

Per the registration, my Dodge Magnum is an SUV.
Per the registration, my old boss's Ford Excursion is a station wagon.
Last time I checked, Subaru still sells Impreza & Legacy wagons.
