My 409

Post by Long Run »

Apparently 409 cleaner is discontinued. For jobs too much for gentler products like Mrs. Meyers, 409 was the go to. Will the world be a dirtier place, or just less toxic?

There isn’t much that can’t be cleaned by Barkeeper’s Friend.

Maybe Formula 409 is being retired because they figure the world is now finally ready for Formula 410....?

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

I haven't bought formula 409 in several years. Maybe others were staying away in droves too. It used to be my cleaner of choice for carpets and upholstery, but I use https://www.samsclub.com/p/mmc-carpet-c ... roduct_1_2 now. It does a good job.

For really dirty jobs, whether they are greasy or not, I like this. https://www.samsclub.com/p/mm-hd-degrea ... roduct_1_1 They call it degreaser, but I haven't found anything it won't clean. I even used it on some very old, very dirty white plastic vertical blinds a while back. They looked like new. Mrs Mc had been campaigning to replace them. Now it's not necessary. Usually it's strong enough diluted about 10:1.

For really greasy stuff, like an engine block with 20 years of accumulated crud, I have sprayed it on full strength and let it sit for a while before hosing everything right off, but that's usually overkill.

My 409

Well I saved my pennies and I saved my dimes
(Giddy up giddy up 409)
For I knew there would be a time
(Giddy up giddy up 409)
When I would buy a brand new 409
(409, 409)
Giddy up giddy up giddy up 409
(Giddy up giddy up 409)
Giddy up 409
(Giddy up giddy up 409)
Giddy up 409
(Giddy up giddy up 409)
Giddy up 40...

Nothing can catch her
Nothing can touch my 409
409 ooooo
(Giddy up giddy up oooo)
(Giddy up giddy up oooo)
(Giddy up giddy up oooo)
(Giddy up giddy up)

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

I'm waiting for the one after 909
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
