Speaking of Cannonball Run type events, the Tour de France got underway today, after a two month delay. It has become something of a summer sports ritual to catch the morning coverage for the three week saga, and I was recently thinking how I missed it. I mistakenly had thought it was another of the things that went by the wayside this year, but for no good reason was checking the sports tv listings and there it was.
