Wedding bells are ringing

Post by Gob »

Just had an invite to his wedding from my godson Jack, who will be marrying his partner, also named Jack, in August. They are great guys, and I'm super excited, and very touched, to be invited!

My first gay wedding, I cannot wait. What to wear, what to wear.....

Be sure to get something from Scooters thead as a wedding gift.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Or maybe that scotch whiskey being auctioned; I'm sure they'd let you have a taste.

If you're half as good at portraits and candids as you are with landscapes, you'd make a heck of a wedding photographer.

From the vales of pedantry normally occupied by the good Major-General, Scotch (and Canadian and Japanese) have whisky; the rest of the world has whiskey.

Probably a cruise that allows them to get off at every port.

Damn it, I am an American and have only one spelling for it. I don't honour anyone either.

Thanks but no. I'm not a portrait photographer, I don't like people!

I think that's true of most portrait photographers (at least professional ones). My main connection with them has been at weddings, and I generally find them pushy and abrasive. To be fair, they are under the gun to get certain photos (there is only one first dnace, etc.) and groups photographed in a relatively short time and have to set up group shots and then move on quickly, but most come across as nasty drill sergeants (although I will admit that the final products I have seen are pretty good).

Don't be ridiculous, your shots of Digby and Ginger (both candids and portraits) are lovely, and you obviously like them!
GAH!

True Sue, and they tolerate me.

I will be taking my camera, and, using a long lens and a swivel viewing screen, I hope to get a batch of candid, unposed images. Will share any good ones here.

Braces? Why? Are his teeth crooked?

Good photos. You should take up photography as a hobby...
