The total salary of Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man C and Arsenal is £680 million or £136 million each on average. They occupy positions 3,4,5,7 and 20. Spurs and West Ham there (1 and 2 respectively) average £70 million each. Brentford at #10 which is hardly shabby spend just under £13 million this year.

I must admit I'd enjoy it if Arsenal stayed there propping up the rest of them. The only team on that list I have been close to being a supporter (I went to a few games when I lived there 40 years ago) is Brighton at #8 with a payroll of £37 million.

Football trivia . . . this is the first time since the beginnings of the clubs in the 19th century that

Spurs have been #1 after three games, having won all three and had zero goals scored against them

AND

Arsenal have been rock bottom after three games, having lost all three and scored zero goals of their own.

Of course, it won't last. But there would be much joy in half of North London (and all of Groot Brakrivier)
if it stayed this way to the end of the season.

F*** off Arsenal
We hate to say that name
You're the biggest load of
bastards in the game

Sung to the tune of Rule Britannia vomited about on this 1971 p.o.s.
