Panic in the Landromat

Post by loCAtek »

What's this world coming to, when a woman can't even wash in peace?

This Lady Loca's gotta wash her clothes down at the park laundromat; which is because she's poor, I think I've explained that before.

WELL!

She can't even wash her less-than-a-week old discount bag of irregular panties, without fate's misfortune saying F-U!

Having taken my bag of whites (undies, socks and a pair of light gray sweatpants) in Saturday night; I got them cycled into the dryer, and promptly forget about them.
By Sunday, my entire assortment of underwear was gone, with the fistful of quarters, I'd spent on cleaning them! Not just a lost sock or two; not just one knicker nicked by some panty pervert, but the whole batch of my best briefs, burgled away. I don't know how long I can go without socks; a healthy socks-life was the secret to my serenity (such as it is). I'll never feel the same way about socks again, after this violation. Can anyone recommend a good socks therapist for PTSD - Post Traumatic Socks Disorder?

Ah yes, the old they disappeared while I left them unattended trick.

Socks are over rated yet still fairly cheap, at least men's tube sox.

As for the others, I don't own any, can't help ya there.

However if ya just gotta have the undies, try cutting some out of croaker sacks (potato sacks for the uncultured).

After a couple of days of that I bet ya never leave em again...
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

Sort of what I was wondering. Did loca have multiple loads in the dryer, and forgot to empty one of them?

Did she put a load in the dryer, leave the laundromat to run some other errand, or just went home because sitting there watching her unmentionables spin in the dryer is interminably boring, and forget to go back?

Or did she put the load in the dryer, sit down with a book/magazine to pass the time, and then get up and leave when she finished the chapter/article, forgetting why she had gone there in the first place?

I ask, because I have done all three.

It was the second, Saturday was a nice day here and those dryers are infuriatingly slow; taking an hour to do an average-sized load. I though that was plenty of time to go do some yard work, water the plants, sweep the porch, run to the store ...and before you knew it, it was past closing time (the park locks up the laundromat in the evenings) The next day was Sunday and I slept in/bummed around. Getting ready for my shower, I realized Shoot, my underwear is still at the laundromat!!!

Worst still, it wasn't :o

I couldn't believe it and called the maintenance men to see if they had just cleaned and thrown it in the back of the supply closet, but when they called me back yesterday, it was to tell me, that no, they hadn't found or moved anything. ~waaaaaaaaaaaaah~

I think you need to keep a weather eye out for anyone with a butt that's about your size who looks just a little toooo comfortable. If you know what I mean.

You knickers-nicker is sure to be sporting your very own underwear in the near future ...
